Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of challenges.sqratch.in and your participation in competitions operated by Sqratch (a sole proprietorship owned by Jayant Singh, “Sqratch”, “we”, “us”). By registering for or paying an entry fee, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
Competitions are open to participants worldwide, subject to any specific eligibility stated in the brief. One entry may cover a solo participant or a team of up to three members. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide at registration.
2. Registration & fees
- Participation requires payment of the applicable entry fee shown on our Products & Services page.
- On successful payment you receive a unique Team Code and access to the competition brief.
- Fees are charged in INR for participants in India and in USD for international participants, inclusive of applicable taxes.
3. Submissions & conduct
- Entries must be your team’s own original work and must comply with the format, anonymity, and deadline rules in the brief.
- To preserve blind evaluation, submission panels must not reveal participant identities; only the Team Code may appear, as specified in the brief.
- Plagiarism, identity disclosure where prohibited, or breach of the brief rules may result in disqualification without refund.
4. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your submitted work. By entering, you grant Sqratch a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce winning and shortlisted entries for the purpose of promoting the competition and Sqratch, with appropriate credit.
5. Prizes
Prizes are awarded as described in the brief and on our website. Sqratch’s decisions and those of the jury are final. Prize disbursement may require winners to provide identity and payment details for compliance and tax purposes.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway. We do not store your full card or banking details. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Changes & cancellation
We may update the brief, schedule, or these Terms where reasonably necessary, and will communicate material changes by email or on the website. If we cancel a competition before submissions close, affected entry fees are refundable per the Refund Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sqratch’s total liability arising from your participation is limited to the entry fee you paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at our registered place of business.
